Lord's Supper - FBCW

This is how we serve the Lord's supper at First Baptist Church of Wahiawa. You may contact any of our deacons to clarify any of these points.
After preaching
Since the Altar call is skipped, the pastor can say, "I and the deacons would like to pray for you after the service up here if you have any questions or would like to be prayed for..."
"...And now we are going to partake of the Lord's Supper, may I request our men to come and prepare the table."
- The pastor goes down and heads to the back of the table that is in between the stage and the table while the men are getting the table ready.
When the table is ready
Pastor Reads 1 Cor. 11:23-24
Pastor gives a short remark about the Lord's supper, like...
- If you are a baptized believer, I would like to invite you to participate...
- As we participate, we remember the death of Christ, and we ask for forgiveness of sins....
Prayer for the Bread
- Pastor hands the handheld microphone to the deacon on the RIGHT for prayer
- After the deacon prays, pastor moves in front of the trays, secure one tray at a time and go to a deacon to hand off the tray. Do this until all bread tray is given out.
- Pastor returns to the back of the table and wait until the deacons have served the whole body and returns back
- The deacons return and the pastor behind the table receives each bread tray.
- Once all tray has been returned, the pastor moves in the front of the table, secures a bread tray and serves each of the server-deacon one at a time.
- The pastor returns the tray and return to the back of the table, faces the audience and waits for a deacon to serve him a bread. The pastor takes the big bread. The tray bread the pastor is served has big portion (uncracked bread)
- When the bread is received, the pastor gives his short remarks and invites everyone to partake and may say this: "...Jesus on that night, he took the bread and after he gave thanks, he said, take eat this is my body which is broken for you... THE PASTOR BREAKS THE BREAD ... secures a small piece and say .... and now let us partake of the bread." (Pastor leaves the rest of the bread back on the tray).
- Pastor hands the handheld microphone to the deacon on the LEFT for prayer
- After prayer, Pastor moves in front of the trays, secure one cup tray and go to a deacon one at a time to hand off the tray. Do this until all cup tray is handed off.
- Pastor returns to the back of the table and wait until the deacons have served the whole body
Partaking of the Cup
- The deacons return and the pastor behind the table receives each cup tray.
- Once all tray has been returned, the pastor moves in the front of the table, secures a cup tray and serves each of the deacon one at a time.
- The Pastor returns the tray.
- The Pastor heads at the back of the table, faces the audience and waits for a deacon to serve him a cup.
- When the cup is received, the pastor gives his short remarks and invites everyone to partake and say the following: "In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.. Let us partake.”
- The Pastor leaves the cup on the table.
Putting the table back in order
- The pastor steps away from the table as the men fixes it and Pastor makes his way back up the stage.
- Once the table is done, the pastor thanks all those who served in todays service and invites the congregation to stand up for the closing prayer.
- The pastor heads back to his place (seat) after he prays as the praise team leads the congregational closing song.
